We are located at the foot of Main Street in an old rail station on the Wallkill valley railroad built in the early 1900. In 1999 the vision was to restore the then condemned station into a restaurant. They opened the doors in June of that year! In just a couple of years, they had to expand the building (of course keeping with the original lines and architecture) to keep up without ever growing local clientele. In 2013 the business was sold and we are restoring the business back to what everyone loves about La Stazione!

Inside you walk into a beautiful bar area perfect for a drink with friends or perhaps a light snack. Then we have our main dining room which accommodates around 70 people. In both rooms are art showcasing both the history of our building and our local area making for a very comfortable atmosphere.

Downstairs we have our wine cellar. The cellar has a beautiful granite table that accommodates 15 people for private parties. The décor, of course, are beautifully designed wine racks (storing up to 3000 bottles of wine from all over the world with main emphasis on Italy and great American varieties) and hand painted murals of the station as it is today.

Outside, along the railway (which has since been converted to one of Ulster Counties most popular hiking and biking trails) we have out outdoor dining area. We have a full bar, seating for around 40 people, and the beautiful Shawangunk Mountain Range as our back drop! It’s truly no wonder why we were voted “Best Trail Treat” by Hudson Valley magazine!

Our menu consists of mostly traditional Italian favorites, some with our own person flair, but all made from scratch using all house made sauces and stocks. We offer several special daily that sometimes stray from traditional Italian and give our patrons a much welcome variety and a chance for our chef (Gustavo) a chance to show us what he is really capable of! We have an extensive wine list of always around 300 bottles with prices starting at $24 and an ever changing list of wines by the glass (usually 20 with the ratio of red to whites depending on the time of year and our entrée specials) ranging from $7 to $8.

Our catering program is one of the things we are most proud of because it really gives us a chance to show off our diversity! We have and will cater for any occasion on or off premise. A birthday, anniversary, bar mitzvah, or a 200 person wedding for your only daughter, we have seen and done it all! We do have catering menus available but prefer you stop by and let us customize a party for you, because we know anything is possible.
